I numeri circensi si trasformano così in una metafora del corpo, della memoria e della fragilità dei legami.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp> \u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Testo di Paolo Ventura:\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Qualche anno fa, in un mercatino, mi sono imbattuto in uno straordinario archivio di un’anonima coppia di acrobati italiani, che si esibiva nei teatri in giro per l’Europa negli anni ’30. Mi ha colpito perché l’album rappresentava i numeri di equilibrismo che realizzavano durante i loro spettacoli. Spesso è lei, che tiene sospeso in aria il proprio compagno. Mi è sembrata una metafora perfetta della rappresentazione dell’amore: un equilibrio saldo e fragile.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Le ultime immagini di loro due mentre si tengono in equilibrio uno con l’altro sono degli anni ’60, loro ormai anziani. The photo album struck me with the images of their balancing acts: it is often she who holds her partner aloft.
